Babblemail

Posted by ChicagoKat on September 27, 2012, at 20:12:19

Can anyone tell me how to use Babblemail?? I have searched and searched the site and I must be blind b/c I am finding no info. It would be nice to privately email someone without having to put your email address out there for the world to see. Thanks.

ChicagoKat,

To send someone a Babblemail, you basically just go to a message that someone wrote and click on their hyperlinked username (for example, where it says "Posted by ChicagoKat" on your message). If the user has chosen to turn his or her Babblemail off, then his or her username will not be hyperlinked, and you will not be able to Babblemail that person. However, if the username is hyperlinked, you should be able to get to the form where you can write a Babblemail by simply clicking on the hyperlinked username.

Judging from the fact that your username is hyperlinked, your Babblemail appears to be turned on. You can turn your Babblemail on and off and also modify your Babblemail and Psycho-Babble settings on the Psycho-Babble settings page:

I hope that I've been of some help. Please feel free to let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks Tomatheus (what a great name!) for all the info. Can you tell me how I can access my Babblemail to see if I have any email?

When you get a Babblemail, you'll receive an e-mail with the text of what the sender wrote. To respond to any Babblemails, you'll be directed to click on a link that will take you to a form on the Psycho-Babble Web site where you can type and send your message. So, there really isn't a Babblemail inbox -- it basically works through your e-mail, with links that you can use to send Babblemails.

I hope that this answers your question. Please feel free to let me know if you have any more questions.

P.S. Thanks for the compliment on my screen name.
