NAC has been fantastic for my OCD and I take copper, zinc and vitamin c as I know it can decrease those. I am testing lower and lower for b12 and wonder whether NAC could decrease that as well and vitamin d as they are stored in the liver? Thanks,
Mogger

> MoggerMogger, I don't have an answer to your question, but I have a question of my own. What dosage of NAC are you taking? How long did it take for it to start working?
Thanks.

Scott,
NAC has been a very interesting supplement as an adjunct to my cocktail. My psychiatrist warned me that I would not feel much until the 9 week mark and that the full effect wouldn't be felt for a year. He was spot on. I am well above the daily dose at 5400mg as I have heard from the psychiatrist who pioneered the study said that some go as high as 8000mg. It definitely calms my anxiety and lifts my mood. I have come down from 5400mg to 4800mg and have felt a difference in a negative way so I am tempted to go back up to 5400mg. I am worried that I am depleting my B12 and vitamin D but I don't know if that is correct. It has been a very effective supplement for me however on it's own I don't think it would have helped me tremendously. It is an adjunct to Zoloft.

Phillipa I am still taking my cocktail as NAC was added to my cocktail as an adjunct.

Thank you Phillipa. I encourage you to try NAC as it has been marvelous for my anxiety. Just a thought. Hope you are well.

If its working, I'd keep taking it, but add a daily B12 tablet, and probably a good multivitamin/mineral suck as Twinlab Daily One
