A lot of people are going to rag on my post, but hear me out-- Shire supports AD/HD research and advocacy that's pretty important, and you have to agree to that. Also, don't take for granted the acceptance amphetamine has had in the medical community. That was hard-fought by paying a lot of influential doctors to do research and speak at events with other doctors.
AD/HD can lose support. Your doctor can begin to think it's over-treated, and cut you off. Without enough people switching to Vyvanse, this can happen. Shire needs to keep paying docs to influence them to be kind to amphetamine for AD/HD.
By switching to Vyvanse, you're supporting Shire. And you need Shire more than Shire needs you. You're a special interest if you have AD/HD, and Shire is your lobbyist.

Do you realize that is exaxtly what happened to me with my previous doctors because they did not know what to do about my conditions and they left me in the hellish state of withdreawl with nothing to help me at all. Their devils under their smirks and grins and flattery....ugh i can't stand it! I'm on the road right now...to get back what is going to help me. I'm dealing with a nurse practitioner now....she is less arrogant than the head psychiatrist who is obessed that she is right. You have to play their little games they do, take their stupid medications that don't work but ofcourse you have to elebroate and tell how its working....basically tell them slowly over time that its a s h i t t y med.Anyways yes and I thought vyvanse got doctors a pay check to from the big pharma world. I'm on Nuvigil in mornings...its nothing special, just your alot more awake...no mental motor increase or concentrations caused by the rise of dopamine. And also Focalin XR is being a money campain with some docs.
