This time I'm using the bioidentical hormone cream prescription according to directions. And I do think it's allowed me to totally stop lexapro. And no side effects at all. Combo of estrogen (good one) progesterone, and testosterone. I do think my mood is more upbeat. My back pain is dissipating with the isotonic excercises also. So there must be something to the new studies that as my endo said safe that was progesterone in studies responsible for cancers. Now they can prevent bowel cancer, strengthen bones, muscles, improve mood, and even arthritis pain. As the endo said it's the estrogen that is good but not prempro or premarin the nasty horse pee. I'm happy you've found some relief. I've always suspected that part of my disease is due to hormonal fluctuations. As I approach menopause, my symptoms have exacerbated. I've always wanted to try bio-id hormones, but no doctor will prescribe them due to a previous ischemic attack. So far Lamictal has worked pretty well though I believe it makes my PMS symptoms worse.
Anyways, I'm so glad you've found some relief.ihatemeds

I'm sorry about the ischemic attack as at your age I know they would be helpful. I've stopped them. At my age it's abnormal to add hormones back in and was getting bleeding from nose and sore breasts and bruising. I am weaning off. Disappointed that I don't feel they are in my health's best interests. I do feel at perimenopausal and menopause time that they are great!!! Phillipa
