I heard an interview with the guy that started Crime Scene Cleaners, a company that cleans up after murders, suicides, cop cars that have been vomited in, morgues. For $2000.00 he will train you OTJ for 10 days and you can open this enterprise in your city. If you're out of your mind.
So, I was watching some of his video's on youtube and then just started watching crime stuff including an interview with two pedophiles. A doctor was explaining that they use chemical castration on these creeps. They use two classes of meds. One I've forgotten, the other was SSRI's.
I'm not a criminal but for 30 years I've lived with this problem to one degree or another. Sometimes tolerable, sometimes impossible. Doctors wonder, with all of these whizz-bang meds why patients aren't getting better. Hmm, let me think.
After adding Vyvanse to my cluterf*ck of other meds, it's been lights out again. I see my doctor Thursday and I'm not sure whether to tell him to fix this problem or invite him to take my meds for a month and see how he likes it.
Even though it would be a failed experiment the thought of getting off of meds is once again tempting. I must add in weight gain to the mix.
Or, I could just hang out with pedophiles and bitch about meds with them. They aren't doing what they used to do, they can't. Neither can I but I'm not a criminal. Maybe I'll start a 12 step group.

lol i'm not sure what to make of what you wrote. so, they have to continually take the SSRI's? or do they have to report to their parole officer to be given a long acting form of it? the other med is probably called "depo provera". heck i pretty much have a form of chemical castration with how meds have affected me longterm, being in my early 20's, this sucks!

I'm not sure but they showed the doc giving a guy a shot on the a**.. It actually helped these guys and one wanted to make it permanent and was castra...man, can't write that word.
Ah, the magic words..Don't worry, it happens. No, you see I take medication that, I mean..ah, f*** it.
This is a little humor mixed with cold reality.
I have at times had the opposite effect and was getting referrals. I mentioned that to the first quack that prescribed Ritalin with an SSRI. He smiled and said the college kids love it. HAHA!!

I've been off Effexor for s month now, and still have zero sexual interest/castrated feeling... anyone know if I give it a year, I have a good shot of sexual interest returning? It doesn't last longer than a year, right??

I think on nearly all of the meds that caused it to be a one trick pony, that it wasn't more than a few weeks till things were working again. Doesn't sound right to take that long.
I was allergic to Effexor which probably was a blessing.

Unless a particular med was directly keeping me alive, if it were causing me to be impotent against my wishes I would not continue taking it, most especially if I was not in remission with it. Whatever the med is, it better be a darn good one performing extremely well for me to think about an intimacy-less life. Besides, there are always other choices, other meds, other herbs, other strategies, and rarely is any one of them the perfect answer, so letting go of problematic or disappointing meds is a no-brainer to me. Granted, yes, the weaning and withdrawal is usually not fun. But it's better than staying stuck. My experience anyway. Someone else might be different.

The capsules are like little maracas. Forget about missing a dose. You'll feel wrong until you take it again. This one will also make you tired.Klonopin
It does the job, but when your body gets used to it, it's hard to stop taking it. I dropped down a milligram a little over a year ago, and it was unpleasant. I still take .5mgs a day. The only reason I won't ask about raising it is that I dont want to go through the trouble of reducing it again.

That's a funny sentence, sg2. LOL Seroquel put a lot of weight on me and helped me perfect the art of the 4 hour nap. I was allergic to Effexor.

Not too much of a clusterfuck. Lamictal seems a little high and Vyvanse is double the recommended max dose!

Been on that Lamictal dose for a long time but I'm always open to options. Vyvanse top is 70mg but my doc has my records and I used to take 90mg Adderall and high doses of all stims and that's why he ramped up to 120mg. Stimulants are a godsend to me.
