I take 120 mg/d of Parnate and I experience awful fatigue in the afternoon. I tried to split to dose from morning in several proportions but the fatigue isnt changing. My pdoc wants allways to go up with the Parnate due its stimulant effect but I think I react the opposite. I am bipolar II and I take as mood stabilizers lithium, Lamictal 300 mg and Abilify 10mg. Futher I have to take T4 because of the lithium. Now my pdoc increased the T4 instead of the Parnate.
Whats your experience with Parnate and how long does it go until you can feel a stimulating effect of the T4 increase. My blood pressure is a little bit low so under carefull watching an augmentation with a stim like Ritalin could be possible. Thats what my pdoc told me.

When you say thyroid is low? What is the TSH number. I ask as endos now find l-2 ideal levels. Personally I feel it's too low. Phillipa

As you know thyroid levels or reference ranges are relative different from laboratory to laboratory. But here are my levels: TSH is 1.73 mU/I (0.35-5.5). fT4 is 14.5 pmol/l (10-19.8) and fT3 is 4.4 pmol/l (3.5-6.5). I would say internists and endos find the levels okay. My TSH was a long time under and around 1 when I was taking 75 mcg/ of T4. Now its 1.73 and perhaps too high? The well being range is very individual. When do you remark that the T4 increasment starts to kick in concerning lack of energy?
