Hi,
I have been taking 2 mg of Valium at night to help me sleep for around 6 years. I am trying taking 2 mg in the morning as well to help against daytime anxiety. Is it a good idea to spread the valium into two doses (2 mg twice a day) or is better to take the entire 4 mg once at night?
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Bob that is really a low dose. I was told by an addictions pdoc mine that the l0mg that I take is a low dose along with 2.5mg of xanax. Both have been cutting down on. Since the half-life is so long I take it late at night and when wake 4 hours later and go back to bed. How bad is the anxiety? I ask as I find I feel the best late in the day and late at night. So at times I wonder if the valium is wearing off although I think as it builds up in body it lasts over 200 hours. I guess kind of like prozac. How does it help you does it eliminate anxiety? > Bob12Yes, you can spread it out on several doses. It's good idea if it works good for you.
