Depression evil

Posted by 757tech on April 4, 2012, at 10:54:34

Depression is like a evil entity, nipping at your heels looking to destroy your life, a tool of the devil.

Thats why i get shocks and insults when people hear i maybe snort a caffiene pill or use ghb,but know what, its a war and when u fight a ugly enemy you cant be scared to build your arsenal.

I also believe depression is evil, has the devil in it.When depressed, I felt there was a parallel universe, but it was evil, scary, deadly.

Hey how did you know I'm googling that war right now. Mammograms and pups with diarrhea make it worse. I fear mammograms. But that's the price a female pays. Any suggestions on this war. Tomorrow is the day. Thanks Phillipa

I agree. Depression has caused me to do things, that I would otherwise not consider doing, simply to relieve the feelings.

While snorting caffiene is not ideal, its a coping mechanism that I understand. If we had better coping mechanisms, we wouldn't have do things like this.

You either get on with living, or get on with dying, and regardless, doing drugs, is, infact, an attempt to get on with living.

What you say is true. Depression is not of God. Demons are out to destroy us any way they can....disease, vanity, sin, crime....and to distract us from the only thing that really matters....Jesus.

If I use an opiate drug once in a while to rescue myself from what I call a crisis day, I'm ok with that. If I use cannabis sometimes to feel better, eat better, or sleep better, I'm ok with that. Because they allow me the opportunity to stay focused on the bigger picture.

On the other hand, I do have reservations about using most psych meds on a continuous basis....that is unless they truly renew a person's life....because of the usual emotional numbing. See, a person can get rid of their depression with an SSRI, yet enter that numbed flat state SSRIs do so well, and as far as the demons are concerned that is just fine....because in that numbed emotional state it will be impossible to have a relationship with God and Jesus. Therefore I believe it is important to seek methods of healing that are not emotionally numbing. Yet at the same time, if we are going to be Godly about it, it has to be legal and issues such as addiction have to be avoided.

I found god in a hospital, but god put resources such as the ones we talk about or least i do and use there for a reason, same reason why even though im in remission i feel the need to come here and share.

Well everyone seems to have lined up on the side of dualism.

I have seen people improve because of depression. That is like saying countries sometimes learn from their wars (and sometimes not). You wouldn't wish it on a dog, of course. But then sometimes I think that about life.
