I took every stim available years ago and don't remember having the out of sorts feeling that 54mg of Concerta is causing, or seems to be.
I've been seeing a chiropractor for a pinched nerve and tightness in the neck. I thought it was something physical I did but I'm beginning to think it's the drug. My doc talked about switching to Vyvanse and I see him Monday.
I was on AD's before and this is the first time taking stims with bucket loads of bipolar meds.
I'm a bit confused but I need stims. When I first started them, I resumed parts of my life that died a decade ago.
Any wisdom appreciated.

I'm gonna talk to my doc about switching from concerta to vyvanse as well. I think the concerta is horrible, it actually makes me tired and just feel crappy. Sometimes I get burst of anxiety filled energy but this med jst seems
All over the place and I don't like it. And I don't even find it does a lot for focus/add

That pretty much sums it up for me too. I've had better, smoother street drugs. Well, they seemed better 30 years ago.

I'm curious, do you have ADHD or ADD without hyperactivity? Because from my research people with ADD without hyperactivity don't react as well to Ritalin but react much better to the amphetamine based stimulants like Dexedrine vyvanse and adderall

I had a similar reaction to both Ritalin and Concerta (which is a very extended-release version of Ritalin, I believe.) I react much better to the Dexedrine/Vyvanse meds. Extended release Dexedrine Spansules are also very good.
Best wishes,
Jay

Thanks. I'll talk to him about Vyvanse, which is very high up on the list of stupid drug names.

Let me know how it goes. I'm also going to ask to be switched from concerta to vyvanse or the short acting version dextroamphetamine

My doc is starting Vyvanse 50mg once a day for two weeks then go to 100mg. I might take the 4 remaining Concerta, then start VV.
Good luck.
