You know now that you have a moderate level of depression. Do you think you might have the atypical type, where one naturally feels better as the day progresses? Your amounts of medication are so low that it's hard to believe they are playing a major role, and anyway, the half- lives are pretty long, aren't they?

Yes low but was told not to increase them. Seems that when I fall asleep that I wake fearing what the day will bring. When was taking even lower dose of luvox it didn't happen and then 15mg of valium. But interractions with husband were better then. And I didn't fear death and cancer. Ever since I reconnected on facebook with old school mates I've heard so many have or had breast cancer. Not atypical depression just sad that life is almost over. It used to be great. Phillipa

There's no denying that growing older is not easy. Still, though, I have read in several places that older people as a group are less depressed than their younger counterparts. You are not even "old" yet, either!
Don't you think you have a moderate depression which has not yet been adequately treated?
