hi my integrative doctor suggested i may want to eventually try 1g of niacinamide 3x/day. Has anyone had success with high doses like this for depression or bipolar disorder? It used to be used in high dosages for alcoholism too i know. I wonder why my traditional psychiatrist has never suggested it.
SLS have you ever tried high dose niacinamide?

Initially, it doesn't do much, unless you take it with a benzo. Then you get more mileage out of the benzo.I recommend niacinamide for benzo tapers.
With the correct additional supplements (usually high dose c, e, zinc, b-100), it helps tremendously. For me, less social phobia. Less physical tension. Better concentration. Also, it improved my rosacea and anxiety-induced skin problems.
Upset stomach was a problem on starting and when I stopped and re-started (dumb move on my part).

I think it new reasearch says it doesn't work for lowering colestol. It did nothing for me in terms of anxiety so when it seemed that it wasn't helping my colestrol I dropped it
