The thread on the pdoc I posted yesterday didn't Make me feel any better to be his patient. As I'd asked if could try upping the lexapro to 5mg at least and was told no. I wondering why it is that the private docs are here at least of the least is best thinking, but if I were to go to indigent or medicaid docs I'd be plastered with every med known. Since medicaire is here combined with private insurance I don't feel very confident with care here. Hence I'd always gone 8 hours away where she always had a med I was asked to try for her. I usually said no as some were bizarre lots of prescription vitamins so to speak. Example Deplin which did take. So why if the system is broken are more meds prescribed for those who pay sliding scale or nothing. Is there not an inbetween? I wonder what states are considered the best and worse with both psychiatric and medical care. Hope no one got insulted by yesterday's thread. If so apologies but that is the mind set of him not me or I wouldn't frequent this site. Phillipa

I think my state,wv,wins the honor of worst psychiatric care. However,I have found the most wonderful pdoc, who is always willing to let me try what I want. But she will gently guide me if she thinks I dont have it right.I sure hope you can find someone you trust.
