well after several failed attempts to have my dr. put me back on ativan 3mg as needed a day ...only usually take 1.5 ..for sleep and 1 day.....from the klonopin ...i was taking 2 mg a day...i swear they were causing me to become depressed and confused... and more moody and irritating my stomach ( jury still out on the stomach)does that seem like an ok switch ...and has anyone ever had these problems with klonopin....ativan seemed like a happier med...not such a downer

Yes, I think ativan is a bit lighter on my mood however...
I had much less up and down with klonazepam. I could take it and come off no problem. Ativan withdrawl hits me pretty fast.

Klonopin can be depressing never had any problems when on ativan and should be as only benzo that doesn't interact with luvox. Phillipa

Use the conversion as I think klonopin is stronger than ativan. With a longer half life. Also I know you know the doses of each are not equal. Phillipa
