Just took my first dose of Parnate and my BP was perfect but my pulse was 115 at rest. Is this dangerously high? Should I discontinue it or might it balance out?
Also the manual says take twice a day is this for Safety / Side effect reasons or performance?
I would ask my doctor but it's the weekend and you guys would probably know better.

Woh Shizen I just took 20 mg morning and 20 in the afternoon and was laying down and stood up and almost collapsed.
Dose anyone know if the Hypo-tension goes away after awhile.
And dose anyone think that Parnate gives you weakness or fatigue.
I dunno if this is the drug for me. But I'm REALLY running out of options.

Only if you have cardiovascular disease eg. angina, recent MI etc.

Orthostatic hypotension is common with MAOIs. You need to stand up slowly. You have increased the dose rather quickly for someone who is not used to taking MAOIs, perhaps you should decrease the dose for now and then increase later if necessary.

It can do, especially in the afternoon.

I'm no stranger to Phenelzine. It was my favorite by far but now I have taken it over 12 times it dose nothing :(
Maybe Antid's just have a stimulant effect and I should stick with one for more then 2 months and augment.
I am trying 500mg's of Lithium to keep things rolling but I doubt it will do much.
On the good side the hypo-tension has gone and I'm gettin a nice head spin from it :)
You obviously know your stuff.
