Magnesium l-threonate go try it!!!

Posted by Uncouth on February 17, 2012, at 10:04:31

Hey all, I have been taking this new form of magnesium for the past few days and I am feeling a pretty good response to it. Magnesium is really important for everyone with mental illness, but it has a hard time getting into the brain, this new version can pass through the bbb. It's targeted at memory loss and cognition, but my guess is that it would be helpful for other conditions. I felt a noticeable calming of busy mind and more ceterdness and my sleep has improved a bit and mood definitely better more stable. Not saying its a miracle as I was already feeling fairly stable, and supposedly the nmda receptor is already fully saturated with mg, but I think there is definitely something to this supplement, I urge others to try and post your responses on this forum, I'd especially be I terested in how those with bipolar depression do on it. I take one capsule in morning, one at noon, and three at night. I think it's a keeper, and I have a feeling well be hearing of it more frequently...

Scott try it your bp2 right? Are you targeting glutamate hyperactivity right now at all???

Large amounts of magnesium citrate, magnesium oxide, etc. have a laxative effect. Magnesium l-threonate is less likely to have this effect. And it's much better at crossing the blood-brain barrier than other forms of magnesium, even IV magnesium. It only came on the market last year. Here's an article about magnesium l-threonate from this month's Life Extension Magazine:

I have been taking it, just one in the morning.

The couple of times I took it at night I thought it aggravated insomnia which may easily be wrong.

I take magnesium glycinate wich has I think it it is 80% bioavalible, magnesium citrate is something like 60% avalible and oxide 20%. where does l-threonate fall?

No sweat bro! I always find Swanson a good deal and their customer service is superb. Let me know how you feel on them as I took Magnesium Glycinate and it actually made me feel worse but this is completely different. So glad to hear about the Ketamine.
