> People don't come to this part of the forum to hear, "accept Jesus in your life and you can start to feel better" they come for medication advice. I have seen at least a couple lately, and also others when scrolling through old posts. I don't think I need to point fingers, just wanted to maybe make people aware that others might not want to hear it
Discussion of religion is welcome here, but should take place at Psycho-Babble Faith. If something's posted here and we don't catch it, please use the "notify administrators" button to let us know. Thanks,

I think anybody should be allowed to suggest anything. I don't get offended if somebody says I just need more of x.
If I don't feel it applies to me there is a little x button at the top of the window.

i guess this site is much like america, all that has to happen is for one kid in a school to get "offended" by a prayer that had been written on a poster that has been hanging in the school for many years. it had been written by a kid that went to that school back in the day, and was currently a teacher at the school. the kid even brought the school to court in order to have the poster taken down and the court ruled in the kids favor. what this kid didn't know is that she was opening up a can of worms. she was harrassed so much that, even though she got her way with having the poster taken down, she moved schools not long after.
fox news reported on this a few weeks ago, and i was just reminded of this story.http://www.foxnews.com/search-results/search?q=rhode+island+prayer+banner

Yes this thread is indicative of everything that's wrong with America... Please.. lol. Cracks me right up, I make a little suggestion(and that's all it was, a suggestion) about not having religion forced down my throat on this site and everyone gets butt hurt, relax people. Go to the faith forum and you can get your fill. That or ease up on the meds..

as long as there are good, caring people on this site, i will keep coming back. and i will offer to them what help i can. Linkadge, Christ_Empowered, and many others know what this stands for. it doesnt just have to be about a certain man that may or may not have walked this earth many years ago. all we need is what we learned to be put to good use in every aspect of out lives. again, what i am referring to is love, caring, respect and sharing good news.

Yea? Guess what? That's all I want and the only reason I came here as well, I didn't like the in your face religious stuff and made a mere suggestion then started getting snide remarks from people, I have had a few very nice and friendly people help me out on this site including one who is very religious but didn't feel the need to shove religion in my face, I don't care if someone mentions religion, is religious, says god bless you at the end of their post whatever. It's the in your face preaching BS I don't like. Man if I knew people were going to get so up in arms about a mere suggestion I woulda kept my mouth shut, kinda ironic people are telling me I shouldn't get offended but yet they seem to be getting offended over my suggestions. I guess this forum/members are not the place/people I thought it was

This site aspires to handle things differently: (1) Prayer isn't forbidden, it's just limited to a specific area. (2) Harassment of those with minority points of view isn't allowed.

Maybe.
To protect the minority is to protect the majority.
To protect one is to protect all.

If your computing unit starts up that nonsense, don't waste time with the little 'x' button. Reboot the computer cold. Better yet, yank the computer cord right out of the wall!

Sometimes as a teacher, I try and make a connection to math in a science lesson. The students don't like that though.
"What the hell, this is not math class!"
I've learned not to do that ever again!
