Hey Laney,
I was just thinking that a low to moderate dose of depakote and/or a super low dose of Prozac, might finally help you get off Paxil if you wean very slowly. Then, you can see if another SSRI woudl work better for you. I can tell you that it is far less likely you would have a hard time getting off Lexapro or Zoloft than Paxil. How are you feeling on Paxil? Any side effects? I'm guessing it just isn't working for you now, not like it once did.

I have tried the prozac thing. It's been quite awhile though. What dose of prozac, how long before you taper paxil, etc.
Depakote, what is it, how does it work, why with prozac, etc.
Thanks!

The prozac thing is easy..... switch from Paxil to Prozac milligram for milligram (if you're on 40mg of Paxil, take 40mg of Prozac for 2 weeks or so, then cut it down to 20mg, if you're on 20mg of paxil take 20mg of prozac for a few weeks)
After being on 20mg of prozac a day for a few weeks, reduce to 10mg a day for about 2 weeks, then just stop.

What if it doesn't work? So you really think this should do it huh?
OK.
Thanks!

I think using Prozac is a good idea. I do still think depakote could help, and should be addressed with your doctor.
Are you exercising? Do you take fish oil? Magnesium and lithium orotate may also be helpful.

Morgan,
What is depakote usually used for? Why use it for withdrawl and I just started back up taking magnesium, Vit. D3 and Omega 3.
Lithium Orotate is different from lithium used for bipolar correct?
Where can one get Lithium Orotate?
I will google it online.
Do you have experience in withdrawing from paxil or effexor and if so, how long were you on it?
Thanks!
