I just started taking lamictal, increasing the dose slowly as prescribed. I just started 100 mg. on Sunday and today I have two small red bumps on my forearm. Is this a normal reaction or is it something I have to worry about? I don't want to have to come off the lamictal as I've been on the medication roller coaaster and I was really hoping this med would work. I was also around 2 dogs yesterday so it could be related to them.

Does it itch? I'd give your pdoc a call. Two tiny bumps does not sound like much, but a Lamictal rash can be serious if it progresses. On the other hand, Lamictal is a great med if it works for you and does not cause a rash. Call the doc.

I agree with above I have small red itchy bumps all the time and don't take lamictal. I am just being cautious in saying check with doc. If they itch I'd think a bite. Phillipa
