Does anyone know what exactly happened to Adderall. I checked with my pharmacy at the end of last year, and they said something about Adderall have annual limits in production, and said to check back in 2012. I checked again a few days ago, and they still don't have it. Adderall is the only ADD drug I can tolerate. The others are agitating. I sure do miss it. Anyone know the scoop on this drug?

I do not take Adderall, but I guess that Shire wants to force people to change to Vyvanse... such that they get used to their expensives, patent-protected product...

Perhaps you could get a generic of Adderall instead, mixed amphetamine salts.

i'm on generic and there is a shortage of that too.
it seems like every month now when i go to get it filled i have to try at least three-6 other pharmacies to get it filled...
problem is i can't tolerate the (i think) Teva brand i have to use CorPharma brand generic.
i wish i knew what was going on too.

well my primary pharmacy is literally next door from my pdoc so i always try them first. then they will call around to a few others. if they have nothing, then i have to check the hy-vee, cvs, and small buisness pharmacies, etc.
Yes, i was in a panic last weekend cuz NO ONE had it. i finally called my 8th pharmacy and They had "plenty" as they said. but we just received 12" of snow and i was homebound. i couldnt believe it when my nephew (in his 20's of course) drove his jeep over to our house to visit. he was Wonderful enough to drive me to the pharmacy to get my meds filled.
We only almost got stuck once and that was right in our driveway. but other than that he plowed right through the stuff. Un believable.
anyway. i'm starting to stockpile a bit so that in case i cant fill for week or so i have some extra.b2c.

What a hassle. The most important thing you can do is to get your next prescription well before you run out. That way you've got plenty of time to find a pharmacy that has some in stock (or can get some).

I only tried a couple of pharmacies. Some of you were more persistent. I can't wait until it comes back in abundance. Vyvanse? I hadn't heard of it.
Do you guys know how long script for drugs like Adderall last? Do they expire? I still have an old prescription but I'm not sure they're fillable after several months. I'm switching Pdocs and haven't seen the new one yet.
