Hey guys,
I am doing some research on psych med websites. Where else do you guys like to hang out and post besides babble? This o f course is my favorite but I'm just wondering.I think it would be great to have a more slick yahoo answers style q&a website but no ads and minimalist design for psych meds, just kinda like babble but updated with new features. Babble hasn't changed in ages!!!
Anyway would love to hear thoughts as I'm a programmer and tinkjng of putting something together for ur community (not intending to compete or replace babble of course)

I don't go there or any other boards. Psych central still doesn't send notifications out like here? That's what I like about babble. That and the full screen of all topics don't have to search for them. Is psych central still the same? Phillipa

i feel im in the same boat as you, being afraid that if i ever do get better, that life will have passed me by. i have had depression since i was 17 and im 24 now. i have much the same problems as you.. feeling sluggish, no energy, confusion, just feeling blank and no pleasure in anything. it is really hard, feeling like you're stuck in a jail cell even though you are out in the real world. i just cannot wait to start feeling better....

I hope it happens for you soon. 7 years is a long time to experience the things you so eloquently described.
I would just add that, at your age, things seemed gray, cold, lifeless, and dismal to me. There was some melancholy. Things just didn't seem right. I couldn't put my finger on it until I read a book called ""Mood Swing" by R. R. Fieve. Then, everything made sense. However, depression remains irrational. It is irrational that we should suffer this way for years on end. It is oppressive.
