you know what makes me really just pissed off is that for reason my body resits any effects from drugs if there not stimulants. I am discusted with failing both strattrea and wellbutrin its like they both had no effect on me. I took wellbutrin for a good long time during 2003-2004 and it gave me energy and everythin and now its like it doesnt even have any effect. Actually all my medications have lost their effect.
Why do I have to deal with a brain that is selective of medications it doesnt want. It frustrates me because im trying to find a deperate treatment for my ADD and there is nothing I have taken so far that works. I'm just so mad at my body rejecting medication.

Could it be that Meds are not the answer that it's life circumstances? As that is what I think for myself at times. Phillipa

yes so far I can't rely on meds to help me get to where I need to be. It's really hard because Its like im expecting the meds to do it for me, to be in a good mood to feel stimulanted and its not going to be that way because its not the correct way to deal with life. As far as i've come I think I need to give up the meds and stop thinking that it will give me quick fix.

wellbutrin is famous for poop-out. Thats just how it is, unfortunately.
Ever tried dopamine agonists, or desipramine?
Will your doc try ritalin? its a DRI not a releaser like amphetamine.

As is well known, young people feel they are bomb proof. It's not something you feel later on.
I would recommend looking after yourself.....your body, as well as your desire for relief.

If stimulants work, stay with them. Little else works for my ADHD.
