Hi all:
I worked a one-time early morning graveyard shift, and forced myself to stay up until around 7 or 8pm the next day, thinking that would get my circadians in order.
I woke up at 10am today REALLY anxious and depressed. It's getting better, and I hope my cycle resets OK, but I wanted to know:
If you have a shift like that, should you go to bed when you get home, or force yourself to stay up (in my case with caffeine pills) until you normally go to bed?
For now, to be on the safe side, I think I'll refuse graveyard assignments.

I tried to do them long time ago and couldn't. At the time felt good but they made me sick. I tried to sleep in am and was awake at noon. Then tried napping before going in that didn't work either. Are they rotating or straight? As if straight you circadian rhythmn will adjust after time. Phillipa
