I take 100 mg of Parmate and wondered if this combo is safe or it can cause a serotonin syndrome?

Yes. I am not 100% sure but I do know if you put anything in your body that increases nuerotransmitters and tyramine with MAOI's. I don't think its a good idea.

Many years ago (almost 40) I read a study about the combination. It was more or less positive. You would have to know the warning signs for SS. And not take too much trytophan. What is the intake from a high trytophan diet anyway, assuming you were to eat turkey all the time?

Sigi did you know that you would have to eat a whole turkey to injest enough tryptophan to make you sleepy was on the news the other day. They said alchohol and carbohydrates cause sleepiness ie: Thanksgiving? PJ

Have you considered asking your doctor for a stimulant? That's not exactly the most popular combo, but its been done for years and years with relative safety. The studies/case reports I've seen used Dexedrine, but I mean, I'm sure they use other stimulants, too.
