Hi,
can anyone tell me what wash-out period is required when changing from Nardil 45mg to Parnate? AFAIAA whilst they both inhibit MAO, they are chemically very different so my guess would be the recommended 2 week period.
Also, does anyone know the recommended "discontinuation rate" (e.g. decrease 15mg every week) for Nardil ?
Thanks,
Pedr

>I required no washout period; I just stopped one and started the other one. I realize this is against conventional wisdom, but I did it with the knowledge of my doctor and had no problems. There are case reports of this going wrong, so please do not do it on my recommendation. You're on a low dose of Nardil, too--but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
