I did an online virtual medical checkup thingie and just for the heck of it I recorded my blood pressure a couple of days ago. I entered in 84 and then it gave a giant alert telling me to go the ER! I'm freaked out!
Obviously I'm still alive so could it be that blood pressure that low is no big deal? Why would it tell me to go the ER? I thought low BP was good?
Everything is scaring me half to death right now.

A blood pressure reading has two numbers which consists of the beating heart rate (systolic) and resting heart rate (diastolic). The average systolic # is 120 and the average diastolic is 80. If your number of 84 is for the disastolic, then it is very normal and no need to worry.

If your blood pressure is that low, your heart rate should be relatively high. Is it? Maybe you should go to a doctor and get some peace of mind about this.

No, my heartrate was like 57 bpm. That's on the low side for me, 80's is more typical for me.
I've already been to the doctor in the past for this issue. No one thinks it is a problem. I'm just freaking myself out.
