Back in the day I popped benzos like candy. My liver enzymes were quite high, so I had to do a fast taper. Bu when I was in a mental hospital w/ slightly elevated liver enzymes they put me on cymbalta and tried to put me on depakote (I said no to the depakote). Maybe its not that big a deal? I dunno.

this concerns me.
ive taken my share of xanies. and at multitudes at times.
should i be getting liver enzyme levels checked periodically?
i've been on xanax pretty consistently for about 4 years.

I seem to recall reading that long-term BZD use can be associated with elevated liver enzymes. You might want to get your shrink or GP to order a test, especially if you also drink and/or take other meds regularly.

41 years of benzo use and liver enzymes just tested perfect numbers each one in exact middle of normal range. Phillipa

i have appt next mon. i'll ask pdoc then. in the past i have tried to OD, and three other times taken way, way more than i was supposed too. and always while drinking. seems when i am most unstable i turn to drinking.
and i have been on multitude of other medications. i guess it wouldnt hurt to have this checked out.
