I have a medical on monday for a job with a mining company, and I'd rather not return a positive result for alprazolam.
Would 72 hours with no drug be enough to get me past a urine screening test with a 200mcg/ml cut off?

I'm not a junkie guys, I have a script, the Xanax is prescribed by a psychiatrist..... however, mine sites in Australia generaly wont hire people taking sedatives because if increased injury/accident risk.
I intend to try and stop it anyway, because, well, I want to see how things go without it.

I can't imagine anyone thinks you are a junkie. So many of babblers are scripted for benzos.
My blood test showed benzo (Xanax) after almost four days of discontinuance. That was from one 0.5 tab. I had blood and urine drawn. Maybe it only showed in the blood. That is the more accurate test, I believe.
But by that I point, I was in a bad withdrawal, which Is why I was in the ER having bloodwork done. Maybe it will go better with you. No withdrawal and a faster metabolizer?
Good luck. Have your script handy if necessary. Office work, they might let you slide. Could you be the only person in the office taking some sort of medication?
This is the end of the thread.
