Since starting Mirtazapine at 60 mg, I have been suffering the following: diminished appetite, excessive thirst, loose bowels, waking nightmares, visual disturbances and nausea. Other than that its doing its job solidly. Are these side effects typical and which will wane?
P - ADHD/BPMDII/OCD
1200 mg Lithium
30 mg Abilify
60 mg Mirtazapine
10 mg Prazocin
50 mg Vyvanse
100 mg Zonisamide

Wow that's a lot of meds. No wonder the long list of side effects. I wouldn't blame them solely on remeron. A lot of them were probably already lurking just below the surface and remeron for whatever reason sent them over the edge.
That said, remeron at your dose...assuming the mechanisms we think it does are true...will stimulate a significant increase in norepinephrine. If that is so, then no wonder the side effects, especially in light of the other meds contributing in a synergistic way.
If it is like other meds or herbs, the side effects should diminish in time (weeks to months) but may or may not ever completely be gone.

Have you had any drowsiness on it? or maybe when (if) on lower doses of the mirtazipine

I feel a bit a nip of the Zombie, eh. Not so quick on my feet and just a lil sluggish.
