I stuck it out but only 10mg. The insomnia went at 10mg its all I could tolerate. I have a false energy. I don't feel the need to sleep constantly. I'm sort of being kept awake. Mood wise, im very flat. I get irritated easily. I feel my verbal communication has improved and im not so lost for words like previously. libido is down. Short term memory not so good. Appetite up. Have not weighed myself yet.
So not great but not bad. I would love to try upping the dose again soon or adding Zoloft. I doubt my GP would give me sertraline i would have to source it and dose myself. Is that stupid ?

Why won't your GP give you zoloft?

Try Mirtazapine. Great for insomnia and actually increases libido.

10mg is a subtheraputic dose - if thats all you can tolorate, I'd suggest looking at abother antidepressant.
wHAT YOU ARE TAKING IS LIKE TAKING 1/4 OF AN ASPIRIN WHEN YOU HAVE A HEADACHE, ABOUT 1/8 OF THE STANDARD DOSE

I just read a post of someone responding to 2.5mg of Lex. I think therapeutic range is overrated !!! Placebo maybe ?

How high a dose did you start with? Maybe a slow push upward. The TCA's can be tough to tolerate.....
Before you add on. But I don't really know.
What a time you are having :-/. I admire your patience.

Emmanuel98 - GP wont use SSRI and TCA - need to see a Pdoc for that.

Wow, your response to nort sounds almost exactly like mine.
I did best at 5mg. When I reached 7.5mg I could begin to experience the things you talked about. At 10mg those things were too much for me.
But nort alone at 5mg obviously wasn't going to cover enough bases. I added zoloft at 6.25mg. I wanted to keep the doses evenly balanced as best I could estimate.
For some reason though, either med alone or both together worsened my physical Lyme symptoms so I ended up stopping. But during the time I was taking that super low dose cocktail I remember telling my doc, "I am not going to need to see you very much any more because I'm starting to feel much improved."
This is just my opinion, but I think nort by itself sucks as a med, and zoloft by itself sucks as a med. But the two combined in a balanced ratio is a completely different ballgame.
This is the end of the thread.
