I have tried Adderall, Nuvigil and Provigil for daytime alterness and they all help.
One doc I had wouldn't Rx Provigil because he said it was more likely to cause mania than a stimulant like Adderall.
New doc has no problem with Adderal, Nuvigil or Provigil.
The only difference I notice is that I get more of an antidepressant happy outlook from Nuvigil.
Any truth to which is most likely to cause mania?

Only Geodon and Klonopin right now. I do pretty good on 80mg of Geodon & 1mg Klonopin at dinner. It wears off the next day so I will take 1mg Klonopin a noon. Thinking I either need to take 20mg or 40mg of Geodon during day. When it wears off, combined with the stimulant I get irritable.
I could add 300mg of daytime Lithium instead of the Geodon.
But for now, just Geodon.

So what is your opinion exactly about this whole Geodon and stimulant situation?I'm always open to others ideas. I wish I knew more about all this.

I think modafinal has very low risk compared to catecholimnergic stims. i would mainly watch out for it causing reduced sleep.-d/r

I believe the Geodon has made me hyperthymic. I wasn't didn't feel that way before the Geodon.
I guess that is why I need a higher dose of Geodon.
At higher doses I'm guessing Geodon is more calming because it hits different neurotransmitters?
Still weird how at low doses it makes me manic - like Effexor did, but at higher doses it makes me calmer. I just wonder what it is doing at a higher dose compared to what it does at a lower dose.
