I need that get some input because this doctor that I'm seeing will not prescibe things that I need. I know its getting irritaing saying the same thing over but my mom will not change doctors and I can't go to my family doctor because its forbidden by my mother.
Listen ALL I need is strattera and this arrogant doctor will argue with me and she does nothing to help me. All she does is write the same thing over again. Should I get mean with her because she is a high tempered woman and I really feel uncomforatble going back to her.
Right now im taking ginsing and caffine to help my ADD. My cocktail is old and i've been on it for too long and no benefits.
Prozac 60mg
Zyrexa 20mg
Clonodine .1mg TWICE daily.I'm not schizophrenic and I need to get off Zyprexa because there's no point in taking it when its not treating the right symptoms.
I wish I could do something. But i'm stuck with this arrogance and stubbornness from this doctor.
I know I need to change doctors but you don't understand. My mother makes all the appointments. and its really frustrating to argue with her becuase she doesnt change her mind about the doctor.
I'm suffering.

Honestly, I would stop taking the meds and go on strike. Go to a hospital if necessary-there they can and will tweak your meds.
You are not powerless.

I think you can taper the zyprexa yourself, especially since you're not psychotic. I haven't googled it, but people like Dr. Peter Breggin and others out there have advice on how to do tapers. That's a pretty high dose of zyprexa for someone w/o psychosis, and I think the prozac boosts blood levels, so you're basically taking more zyprexa than your average patient with a psychotic disorder. Weird.
I think you might want to just drop out of psychiatry for the time being. If you really need meds, you can get them online, ask for refills, or go to a general practitioner. You might also want to consider spending the $$$ that were going to this Dr. on going to therapy, whether with a counselor or with a full-fledged psychologist. Just make sure they're not a-holes; I've had my fair share of incompetent, unhelpful counselors.
Why are you on so much zyprexa? Did she give a reason for all this? Maybe you should file a complaint with the state medical board, especially if she hasn't been doing AIMS tests for TD and didn't provide informed consent. I'm just sayin'. If you do that, you won't have to worry about ever seeing her again, b/c she most certainly won't make room in her schedule for you.
Anyway, I hope things get better.
Good luck.

I am assuming your insurance coverage is through your mother? (I guess I'm also assuming you are in the US?) If you are in the US, is there any way you can get a job that would put you on a group policy? If so - then you would have an easier time being in control of who you see.
