So an interesting discovery having been on just about every drug available in Australia.. I've been trying abilify at around 1mg (cutting a 10mg tablet into little bits) I have found myself able to be talkative and in a spontaneous way which is great.. any ideas on why it's helping in this way ? Unfortantly it's also making me too drowsy to really function well at everything else :(
If i could start looking into something that may do the same thing but without the drowsiness it would be great, but i wouldn't have a clue what to look at. ( would have to be non stimulants)

Low dose valium as it's available in Australia. What other meds are you on? Phillipa

That's impressive that you are getting such strong effects at such a low dose. It must be Abilify's purported ability to increase as well as decrease dopamine.
Apparently low doses of Zyprexa can also increase dopamine. It may be one to try.

not sure what is available in your country but its probably increased DA activity. A DA agonist could do the same thing, but is the intrinsic to DA agonism that you risk drowsiness. The different drug might have a better benefit/side effect raio though. You might add modafinal/adrafinal, or bupropion
