Hi,
I am taking 17.5 mg of Zyprexa, and am feeling tired during the day. I am considering adding a low dose of Wellbutrin. The problem is I am not sleeping very well even with just the Zyprexa, and also have daytime anxiety. So I am worried Wellbutrin, while it might increase my energy levels, will also increase my anxiety and sleeping problems.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Prozac is cheap these days and its somewhat energizing, especially in the beginning of treatment. The Prozac+zyprexa combo has been studied ("Symbyax" is the brand name for a fixed combination capsule of these two meds) and found to be unusually effective for various forms of depression. Over the long haul, the Prozac could help with lingering anxiety, and if you start low and go slow (always a good idea) you could get a little bit of an energy boost w/o entering full-on panic attack mode.
Just a suggestion.

I take 15mg zyprexa and 200mg bupropion sr(generic wellbutrin sr). The bupropion raised my anxiety, but did not affect sleep. I could sleep right after taking it. I do find that the gereric has less side-effects. The bupropion does wake me up during the day, feel more alert. Its hard to explain how that works.

The symptoms you're describing sound like symptoms of depression. Wellbutrin is an antidepressant with stimulant properties, but as you said, it has the potential to boost anxiety and make it hard to get to sleep. My feeling is that you should add an antidepressant, but not Wellbutrin. The reason you are feeling tired all day is probably due to sleeping poorly. Remeron has strong sleep-inducing effects, and it might improve your overall mood and anxiety. Trazodone is also an AD that can be given at night to help sleep. Some of the tricyclics are pretty good at putting people to sleep, too. Have you tried Elavil? Or, what about its cousin doxepin, which is one of the most sedating antihistamines you can buy. Or, you could use an SSRI.
You could probably add Wellbutrin once your anxiety and insomnia improve.

Another possibility is to switch to Seroquel. A lot of people say it gives them the best sleep they've ever had. I'm not sure how you would feel the next day, though. You may still feel sedated.
