Thank you,

I've been taking Lyrica for around 18 months now for excessive GAD. I can't say it's been that effective at all I'm afraid. In fact I'm not sure it's doing anything at all now, and I've asked my doctor to take me off the drug. I did feel a little 'elated' after the very first dose, but it was short-lived and I haven't had any similar feelings since - even though I've been on the top dose of 600mg per day for the last 15 months.
I haven't tried to come off the drug yet, so I can't comment on that, but I can say that if I do miss a dose I certain;y don't have any cravings for the drug.

Thank you, jms.
15 months is quite a stretch. Sorry it failed. Do you know what you'll do next?
I read enough to know there is a tapering process--. Hope it goes smoothly.
(My prescription is for chronic pain, but I do deal with ptsd, too.)

it was fine, i felt a little manicky on it at times or maybe it was more the people around me were utterly stuck in depression.
This is the end of the thread.
