Fyi Campral orginaly labled for alcholism is a gaba med that works by keeping gaba and the ecitatory amino glutamate in balance,Its a calming med when added to a combo,doesent hold many interactions,add can be ordered without scrip.i LOVE it find it calming,just a fyi,

Yes indeed. When I took my first dose of it, I felt bliss. (Of course, I was intensely anxious about staying sober.) I really, really appreciated the calming effect.

Agree its a good safe add on,and its unknown and we here need to make known off label options.

I've been touting its benefits before but sometimes the good news gets swallowed up by the not so good. Any medication that's dispensed for the purpose as an alcohol deterrent (though that's not the exact action; it takes care of physical cravings and does not address behavioral issues) has quite the uphill battle when it comes to patient compliance.
I have to say that I was *extremely* motivated and was doubly relieved to find it act so well on my anxiety. It definitely reinforced its own action for me. I was taking something that not only helped me physically, but took the anxiety that I had around the activity reduced as well, creating a environment that was even better suited for learning new coping skills.
Once in a while I'll mention it to a specialist if we happen to be discussing my sobriety, and their ears always perk up at my anecdotal story about my experience with it.
