e I quit smoking? I read in the prescribing info that zyprexa clearance is 40%(if I remember correctly) higher in smokers. Does that mean that when you smoke you get more of the zyprexa or the other way around?

I can't answer your question, I just want to say congratulations on quitting smoking!

"Olanzapine clearance is about 40% higher in smokers than in nonsmokers, although dosage modifications are not routinely recommended."
Basically it means Zyprexa does not work as well if you smoke, but the effect is minimal.

Never thought I could do it. Slow decrease over the years with the help of wellbutrin sr and nicotine lozenges, the cherry ones. I still take them.

Thats what I thought. But had to ask because it got weak when I quit smoking, and started nicotine lozenges. Do you know if its the nicotine that does it? Or some thing else?
It also could be the abilify that did it. The zyprexa suddenly became weak when I was in the middle of my abilify trial. I also quit smoking pot and ciggarettes at the same time. then off the abilify. And suddenly I needed 3 times as much zyprexa as before the abilify and pot and drinking off and on, but I was smoking more then. I took 10mg zyprexa for 10 years. ?.

I think it works better without the cigarettes. Isn't that what was written above or did I read it wrong? Phillipa
