Been on Vyvanse for a bit. It actually has been really effective-for cognition and depression. Not as effective as in the beginning but better than without it. My question is this.
The med wears off at night and in the morning I feel like a stroke victim until the pill kicks in. Is there a way to maintain it's effect so I don't have to be so god-damn dependent on it to get moving?

Don't know it what helps me will help you but my doc prescribes memantine to reduce tolerance to stims, and has me start the day (or end the day) with 10 mg adderall. It works for me to get started until the vyvanse kicks in. Good luck!

20mg of memantine seems to reduce a crash, and many people like it for reducing tolerance. They use it for augmenting with other anti-depressants, and are using higher doses at the McLean OCD clinic for OCD treatment. What I meant by before or after (10mg of adderall) was he told me I can take it to get started, and at the end of the day when the vyvanse poops out, but I usually don't like to tell people because I hear about how it's too much, yadayada. But my pdoc follows me, do I feel fine about it. But if you're having trouble in the morning, that may be all you need! Hopefully it would help you! :)

vyanese was actualy made to avoid abuse,so it was made to have a extended type of releasse.Once again we pay for the abusers.
Personaly seeing someone on it,i recomend if you find urself needing more or wanting more, and its not doing its job,id see if i could get one of the classic stims such as adderall.
