buspar, should I be worried?

Posted by manduh on December 10, 2010, at 3:41:22

I went into the docs today since its been a week after stopping wellbutrin and I'll be finishing up the prednisone soon.
He wouldn't let me stay on klonopin. He suggested zoloft or putting me on 40mg of celexa (I was on 20mg before). I said no SSRI's and I wouldn't ever be trying celexa again.
So now I've got a prescription for buspar, which I had to start tonight.
I know I should try and be positive, but I'm not too happy about this and sort of feel like I was pushed into it ("just try it and see" kinda thing).
Anyone have any luck whatsoever on buspar?

I was once given it at 5mg for anxiety but at that dose did nothing. What are you on it for and what is the dose. Phillipa

Hi,

I've been on Buspar for 17 years for anxiety, but now I'm on a low dose of flupentixol.

Buspar is a mild drug that works best in combination with an antidepressant.

It takes about a month for this medicine to work so you have got to stick with it.

Best regards,
X-ray
