Hi there,
I went off Zyprexa last spring. My doctor took me off over 3 weeks. I also have problems with insomnia on antidepresssants, so it was a bit rough. Eventually I had to go on another antipsychotic (seroquel) to correct the insomnia. It seems like Z is a pretty difficult drug to get off, especially if you have problems with insomnia anyway, the insomnia I got through the withdrawal was really difficult. If I had to do it again, I would go really slowly...sorry i don't have anything more helpful to tell you, just thought I would share what I found. Now I'm trying to taper off my antidepressants, because the insomnia is worse than the depression...
The good news is, I lost 45lbs..
