Hi all,
I live in the UK and in order to be prescribed antidepressants you need to have a GP who is willing to do this. In order to be prescribed mood stabilisers, antipsychotics and any other psychomeds you have to be referred to a Psychiatrist. It seems that in the UK psychiatrists are more wary and less flexible than in the US? Or do alot of you buy your meds off the internet? I'm curious as to how the US system of Psychiatry works and how easy it is to get prescribed different psychomeds as I see some ppl are on many many drugs, in one case even two antipsychotics, with one solely to cancel the weight gain of another, unheard of in the UK. Thanks for your time :-). I'm also curious as to how the system works in other countries.
This is the end of the thread.
