Parnate Update

Posted by ColoradoSnowflake on November 27, 2009, at 16:07:49

Hi Everybody:

I finally saw my pdoc Wednesday after 3 long months!
I've been doing well on 80mg Parnate. But when I told him how much I had been falling he had a fit and lowered my Parnate to 60mg. So we'll see how that works out.
He also lowered my nortriptyline from 25mg to 10mg. I don't like sleeping until 10 in the morning so maybe that will help.

Best to everyone,

Gayle

I hope things work out.

One step at a time.

Good luck.

Best of luck with the new dosage. I didn't know that you were falling. Parnate makes me clumsy but I have only fallen once.

I wish the Nortriptyline would help me sleep ...

Keep us posted!

Well, I lowered my dose of Parnate to 60mg on Wednesday th 25th. I've been getting more and more depressed by the day until it seemed intolerable yesterday when I spent most of the day under my covers sobbing and talking to my sister (she's not depressed - how she can take it I don't know!). I decided that tomorrow (Monday) a.m. I would call my pdoc and insist on going back to 80mg.

Then this morning I woke up after a long, uninterrupted sleep, feeling better than I have for a weeks.

This crazy Parnate! Now I'm thinking I'll just stay at 60mg for a while longer.

Maybe less will be better all the way around.

If I can get through this season in decent shape I will be delighted.

Thanks for you comments and support everybody!

Hugs,

Gayle
