I can;t tell you how amazing Pristiq is. I used to have total panic attacks at work and in meetings and now I don't. I have anxiety and it gives me energy but lessens the anxiety. Just thought I'd add this because I was always looking for stuff on here and now maybe someone will find it.

Really? Is it better than the other SNRIs in your case and opinion? Have you tried any others? Especially Effexor..
Well, its good to hear some positive news.

How long have you taken it before you felt it really 'kick in'? I've had problems with anxiety on it and tiredness, and didn't think it was all that helpful. Maybe even less than Effexor

I agree! It really got rid of my anxiety. I can go out and be social and not pass out or break into a sweat!

While I like how Pristiq works for my anxiety and depression, it still gives me terrible sides effects (painful, noisy gastro symptoms, gas, bloating, etc.)
I did try cutting it in half - even though they say not to - and 25mg didn't cause as much gastro upset as the whole 50mg.
