Does anyone else have this problem? I grind my teeth from the Parnate all day. This happened the last time I was on it as well. I am worried about the health of my teeth.

I've noticed some teeth grinding on Parnate myself. It's most noticeable when I'm not taking my Xanax at regular intervals throughout the day.

Hi Maxie:
I haven't noticed that at all. I have had that, or keeping my teeth clenched all the time, on dexedrine.
Maybe the nortriptyline helps me with that? Have you had a chance to ask your doc about the nortrip yet?
Hugs,
Gayle

Yeah, I've noticed this. I had my DDS make me a mouthguard for sleep. That's when I tend to grind them.

Hi Gayle
I see my doctor tomorrow and will be asking about the Nortrip. I don't know what his response will be.

I use a mouthpiece made by my dentist. Called a night guard but can be used all day.

I've had this problem on many meds, especially at higher doses of drugs with a serotonergic component, such as citalopram or Effexor. Effexor was especially bad. I have sustained some wear on my teeth as a result of the years of psychiatric meds. My dentist told me as much, and I've never found a way of mitigating it save for taking away the offending psychiatric compound.

The nortriptyline that I have started to take is helping with the grinding. I am so relieved!
