Has anyone tried these 2 together? I met with a new PDoc (therapist) twice so far, but we haven't yet discussed meds and I just realized I am going to be short a few pills of dextro before my next appt.; so, instead of taking my 2nd 10 mg. dose of dextro today, I took a Ritalin before it [dextro] wore off.
I never liked the Ritalin too much (still have leftovers from February), but I took it 4 hours or so after I took a dextro - I feel it greatly improved my concentration as opposed to just the dextro.
Ritalin is so short acting and gives you a down feeling when you come off it. Isn't there some kind of slow release version of Ritalin out there?
Or maybe it's just that the dextro is losing its effect on me. I just can't afford to take a dextro holiday right now with too many upcoming deadlines.
Several times I thought the dexto is better for motivation; Ritalin (and Adderall for those who can tolerate) for concentration. The 2 together? Hmmm....

Can't answer the ritalin questions--hopefully someone will jump in.
I did develop tolerance to dexedrine--and seem to have settled at what my pdoc calls my therapeutic level. (It still works, but not like the beginning.) How long have you been taking it? When do you see pdoc again? Interesting observations about ritalin. I 'might' be trying Strattera in the late fall.
Good luck with your school work--yes, no time for a dex holiday!

Concerta is the long acting Ritalin. I know what you mean about feeling down once it wears off. I couldn't handle the crash from Ritalin and switch to Adderall.

Someone here took them together and found a synergistic effect.
