I went to the doctor today and decided to ditch Savella as it was making me so irritable I couldn't even stand myself. I'm moving on to emsam. I began my washout period today and decided, against my pdoc's advice, to stop altogether as opposed to tapering off. I just don't have that much time before school starts so I have to tough it out. I really hope I can do it. If all goes well, I will start emsam on Saturday. To add insult to injury, I will be on vacation during the washout period and the first three days of Emsam. I couldn't change plans so more toughing up to do. I really hope this ad works. I have always been afraid of this class of drugs but ssri and ssrni were not working for me.
I will try to keep you posted as to my progress.

Sorry your vacation might suffer. I have heard that emsam can be felt (for some) pretty quickly. And I hope you ad withdrawal is smooth.

Aside for not making me feel substantially better in terms of depressed mood it also caused some insomnia, agitation and horrible irritability. The latter one became unbearable. I was mad at anything that moved.

> fbFunny but today is day two of the five day wash out period and I feel better than on meds. The unbearable irritability I was feeling seems to be subsiding. I hope is just not a fluke. I would like to really enjoy my time with my husband and my kids.
