I think the story about minute particles of Mirtazapine being so effective for sleep is more to do with cutting away the film coating than reducing the quantity. Maybe it does not work so well with generic Mirtazapine.

I think either Remeron or the generic work at low doses because it is such a powerful anithistamine.

I don't get it as the time took it even with benzos for sleep did nothing at all. Am I immune to medications? Is this possible? Phillipa

I take 45mgs of Remeron at night. The higher dose is supposed to have an AD effect which I never noticed but I'm sticking with it becasue it is supposed to be a good combination with Pristiq. But it knocks me out for a good 9 hours. It's the only thing that has ever helped me sleep especially with SSRIs and Provigil.
