I think quite a few others use seroquel with their MAOI's good luck. Phillipa

I think it is safe. There should be no risk of serotonin syndrome since seroquel doesn't affect the metabolism of serotonin in any way. It is neither a reuptake inhibitor nor MAOI.
I went on seroquel when I was coming off parnate. I felt really normal for about 4 days during the transition. I think it was due to the combination of the two medications. After a few weeks I was miserable again.
I think the combo could be very promising.

> LinkadgeIn the first few weeks of my parnate experience I experienced severe insomnia. My p-doc wrote a script for seroquel 50mg for sleep. I used it for two days and while it did help me sleep it negated all the positive effects of the parnate and plunged me back into a deep depression. Needless to say I d/c the seroquel.
