I'm an idiot. I take 200mgs of zoloft every morning.
This morning I took them.
about an hour later, while on the phone, I went to the cabinet to get some Advil for a headache...talking on the phone I wasn't paying attention and took two more zoloft! This means I've taken 400mgs today!!
Should I be worried?
thanks.

No, don't be worried. You might feel nauseous, but that;s about it.
Take care.

I've certainly done that before, though not with zoloft. I also suspect that nausea would be the main concern, but I'm certainly no expert. Personally, I'd be ringing up my pharmacist if I had a drug question I needed a quick answer to. (If it happens to be after-hours, you can always try calling a 24-hour pharmacy.)
You probably know this already, but just in case you don't, if you start to feel nauseous, ginger is a great remedy. I usually like to eat a few pieces of candied ginger, but I've also used ginger capsules, pickled ginger, ginger tea (cut a piece of root and steep), and ginger ale. Ume (Japanese pickled plum) also works great, if you happen to have some on hand. (It's an acquired taste.) At night I like Benadryl for nausea since it has the added benefit of making me sleepy.

I'd call my pdoc as double the highest recommended dose of zoloft to be on the safe side. SSRI's never made me nauseus wonder why? Love Phillipa

Thanks everyone. Doc says not to worry but skip tomorrow. Really tired today though. :)
