what stimulant less likely to cause hypomania

Posted by sam K on March 23, 2009, at 12:56:38

ive tried Provigil and that isnt good for me at all. Makes me anxious and makes me hypomanic/manic. I dont like ritalin at all, makes me really anxious and I just feel like poop on it. I wish there was a stimulant that doesnt worsen my anxiety and have a bipolar "switch".

Did you already try to augment Provigil with something to counteract the hypomania?

I'm the same way with Ritalin. It makes me ill. However, I like adderall a lot. Have you tried it. It's a very different drug in my experience.

well, i'd say well butrin is the least likely. depending on what you are trying to treat, there might be other drug classes that would help without pushing you towards mania.
