I just wondering if there is anyone on this board who takes this or who knows of anyone who takes this drug for sleep?

No that's an old med. I have seen it mentioned but know of no one on it. Is it still prescribed? Phillipa

Seconal is back on the market apparently. It's a barbiturate.

Not to be smarmy, but that's unfortunate that the FDA let that through without restrictions like GHB.

I doubt a lot of psychiatrists will prescribe it, I think mainly it will be used as (hopefully) an in-hospital situative drug.

Its a dangerous substance to use as a casual sedative when there are -far- more safer benzodiazepines out there which do have an antidote protocol.

Can you imagine was in false labor with third child the ob-gyn in the hospital gave me two seconals. Didn't fall asleep. Amazing how times have changed!!! Phillipa
